The wide new Hun Sen Boulevard cuts straight through it, the AEON Mall Meanchey anchor arrived with the cinemas and supermarkets that follow, and borey and condominium projects have filled in fast around them. The result for renters is simple: newer stock and more space per dollar than anywhere this close to the center.

The rental heart of the district is Chak Angre — Leu and Kraom — running along the Bassac riverside south of the city core.
